Gwinnett Environmental & Heritage Center Foundation

We had our wedding reception at the Gwinnett Environmental and Heritage Center. Since we were paying for the reception ourselves, we were looking for an economical place to do so. This location gave us a great view for a minimal price. There were several spaces to choose from, depending on how many guests you are inviting and how much space you need. We chose the Ivy Room and added the Dining Room. This was where we set the buffet up and we also had the beverages here, so everything was out of the way of dancing and eating! We also had a few tables setup in the DiningThe rental fee included tables and chairs, which was great. They were setup the way we wanted when we arrived for our reception. The fee also included a dressing room for each of us. Many locations require that you use certain vendors, but the Gwinnett Environmental and Heritage Center does not. While they do have some recommended vendors, we were able to use whoever we wanted. We chose to bring in a lot of our own food to serve at the reception, so having access to the catering kitchen was a big help. The location is absolutely beautiful. Our photographer loved it and we have so many great pictures from the day. One of my favorites was taken under the bridge. The photographer zoomed in enough that, with the bridge arch reflecting in the water, it looks like we are centered in a giant eye. While we were spending time with the photographer, our guests were free to explore the beautiful trails and water features. Everyone had a great time. If you're looking for a unique and beautiful location for your event, this is the place for you!

Having our event at the Gwinnett Environmental & Heritage Center was great! The facility is beautiful, and the people were a pleasure to work with. Our guests thought the Blue Planet Theater was fantastic, and it was an amazing venue that met all our needs. The waterfall is spectacular, and the big screen worked great. We even made use of the patio, which was perfect as well! We had a great experience and would definitely reserve it again!

The Gwinnett Environmental & Heritage Center offers clients a unique mixture of outdoor/wildlife and elegance. We were so lucky to have stumbled across this venue. It is absolutely amazing! We fell in love with it the minute we saw it. The location provides an ambiance that is both beautiful and serene. Not only do we love the facility, but our guests were impressed as well. We received many compliments from our guests, who thought it was the perfect place to get married! Danielle Wunn and the GEHC staff were absolutely incredible! They were so accommodating and catered to our requests. Summer Institute.  We invited approximately 600 GCPS educators to the
Gwinnett Environmental & Heritage Center.  Your employees

I just wanted to say thank you for making our cross country meet such a success.  The staff was accommodating of all our needs, the trails were in wonderful racing condition and the environment was perfect for our fall meet.  GEHC provided me, as the meet director, access to all the trails before the meet, maps of all the trails, and access to cones and the Central Pavilion.  After the meet I received many compliments about the site and the course of the meet; the Georgia Christian Athletic Association plans to use the GEHC next year for our state championship meet!

I have had the distinct pleasure and opportunity to work with you and your staff on several occasions. The first time was in July of 2010. We had, for the first time, our entire organization under one roof for one week of training.  With over 200 employees from 8:00am – 5:00pm daily and variety of training activities going on…things couldn’t have run more smoothly!!!  As a result, we have returned on two other occasions as our training needs have dictated. We found the GEHC to be an environment that was perfect for our meeting. The room provided a professional yet warm setting for an all day meeting with the technology, lighting, and a great backdrop--given the view. The facilities are excellent and provide guests with an opportunity to stretch and observe a variety of displays. The variability and range of displays will intrigue most groups of varying ages. Overall, we were very pleased with the location & room, and the staff are eager to assist to insure your event is successful. I would definitely use this site again.
