The idbids®! Scout the Cloud, Lola the Flower, and Waverly the Water Drop introduce kid-friendly practical concepts for taking care of the Earth! These engaging programs give young children an introduction to nature.
“Where’s Waverly in the Water-Cycle?” 
This exciting program helps young learners develop investigative and identification skills as they recognize Waverly in many states of water. Indoor experiences with the Discover H2O exhibit provide hands-on practice in the art of rain-making.

The Land Down Under: The Tale of a Leaf 
Lola introduces her small animal friends, the decomposers, and the important tasks they perform. Students will look under rocks and tree branches to search for these elusive creatures! Composting at the GEHC will be highlighted. Students will also have an opportunity to visit the Discover H2O exhibit.AKS KSC: A2,4,5; D 12,13

Clouds: What Those Fluffy Sky Puffs Really Mean 
Scout’s changeable wardrobe forms shapes that defy the imagination. As a forecast for different types of weather, cloud-types will be explained. Students will be introduced to weather terms and hand-made instruments that can be used in morning calendar applications in the classroom. Indoor experiences with the Discover H2O exhibit provide hands-on practice in creating clouds.

The Pre-Kindergarten program is aligned to Georgia standards for early childhood education, and outdoor experiences are an integral part of each program. Young children experience an appreciation for their world while fostering a sense of curiosity and self-awareness.
