EXPLORING THE ENVIRONMENT
MARCH: The Living World…How are the structures of ecosystems important to the way populations and communities are interacting with one another? Explore the diversity that exists close to home as well as globally.
APRIL: Water, Water Everywhere…Globally, water systems provide a balance for the variety of environments on this planet but are constantly threatened by pollution sources. Learn to describe surface, groundwater, and saltwater systems and discover how we test for H2O health.
MAY: Land and Water Use…We need vegetables to feed a growing population. We need trees to provide wood for our housing. We eat livestock for our meals. How do we accommodate all the demands of humans and protect our natural resources? This class concludes with an exciting tour of the Wayne Hill Water Treatment Facility.
