Scout Program
Please select one of the following:
Boy Scout Programs may be scheduled on the first and third Saturdays of the month from 1-3pm. Groups must have a minimum of 12 boys and a maximum of 20. If you have a small group you may combine with another group to meet the minimum group size requirements. We require an adult to boy ratio of 1:8 and supervision at all times. Please wear comfortable clothing and shoes as some of programs include time outside. Webelos programs cost $8 per boy and leaders are free. Program cost does not include admission to the center or the badge. Boy Scout programs are priced below. Registration and payment must be made 2 weeks in advance. Scheduling is subject to staffing availability. You may extend your visit by packing a lunch to eat at our pavilion (depending on availability).
Webelos Programs:
Forester Activity Badge
Description: Unravel the mysteries of life in the forest. Is it really more than just a bunch of trees? Find out how trees grow, what makes the forest tick, and how you can improve where you live with trees by making an urban forestry plan.
Naturalist Activity Badge
Description: Are you curious about the natural world? Join us as we investigate our grounds in search of plants and signs of animals to complete the requirements of the Naturalist Activity Badge.
Boy Scout Programs:
Environmental Science Merit Badge
Description: Conduct experiments and learn about your impact on the natural in this four hour session. Complete or start the experiments in requirement three of this merit badge that is required to become an Eagle Scout. $10 per scout
Soil and Water Conservation Merit Badge
Description: Make a difference in your community by learning how to conserve soil, water, and energy. Find out how healthy soil and clean water affect your everyday life. Learn about water pollution, what causes erosion, and what you can do make it better in this 4 hour session. In order to earn your badge please complete requirements 1a, 2d, 5, 6d, 7e, and one of 7a (we’ll visit 7a(6), but you’ll still need to write the report). $10 per scout
Archaeology Merit Badge
10:00am-5:00pm
Description: Come complete the requirements for this badge. Please do requirements #4, #5, and #11 and bring with you to share. Pack a lunch and wear comfortable clothing. This badge will be completed in two parts as the first day will cover the academic portion and four hours of the excavation requirement. An additional date will be scheduled to complete the remaining excavation requirement. $15 per scout
Girl Scout Programs:
Girl Scout Programs are offered during the year from August-May, please check our calendar of events for program dates. We offer specialized programs for you to schedule according to your needs. Girl Scout Leaders are invited to call the center to participate in the following programs:

Girl Scouts - Architecture and Environmental Design
Girl Scout programs are scheduled on the first Saturdays of the month from 10am-12pm. Groups must have a minimum of 12 girls and a maximum of 20. If you have a small group you may combine with another group to meet the minimum requirements. We require an adult to girl ratio of 1:8 and supervision at all times. Please wear comfortable clothing and shoes as some of the programs may require time outside. The cost is $8 per girl and leaders are free. Please note this does not include center admission (except the Water Everywhere Program) or badge. Registration and payment must be made 2 weeks in advance. Scheduling is subject to staffing availability. You may extend your visit by packing a lunch to eat at our pavilion (dependant on availability).

GEHC Green Power Patch
Cost: $5/girl (includes patch and center admission)
Please pick up the booklet at the Ticket Counter. Once booklet is completed, badges may be picked up at the Ticket Counter.
Your Outdoor Surroundings and Earth Connections Backpacks are located at the Ticket Counter and can be taken outside to explore the trails. Please fill out a GEHC Equipment Loan Agreement and return the backpack 30 minutes prior to closing.
